Our Wound Care and Nurse/AHP-Led Clinics Workshop offers participants interactive learning to enhance their wound care skills and understanding of the operations of Nurse/AHP-led clinics. Led by experienced trainers, this workshop will deepen your knowledge in wound assessment, management, and establishing effective Nurse/AHP services.
Session #1 Wound Care (3-hours)
This workshop is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and assessment skills to effectively manage a range of wound types. Participants will explore the classification and assessment of wounds and corresponding management strategies while examining factors that affect wound healing. The session will include interactive activities where participants can practice product selection and decision-making to optimise wound healing outcomes.

Session #2 Nurse/AHP-Led Clinics (3-hours)
In the Nurse/AHP-led clinic session, participants will engage in discussions and activities focused on establishing three types of Nurse/AHP-led clinics: Wound Management, Chronic Disease Management, and Health and Wellness. Participants will examine the benefits, challenges, and legal and regulatory considerations while learning about clinic setup, equipment options, billing pathways and funding options. Participants will explore strategies to ensure a high-standard, patient-centred model of care. This session will equip participants with practical knowledge for establishing and sustaining effective Nurse/AHP-led clinics in diverse healthcare settings.
