Description
Our Clinical Skills Workshop Bundle includes Day 1 (Spirometry Training) and Day 2 (Wound Care and Nurse/AHP Clinics) Workshops for a comprehensive skill set. Each day focuses on essential clinical skills, offering in-depth, hands-on training.
CDM Plus will coordinate the Spirometry Training Workshop, and the National Asthma Council (NAC) will deliver the training.
Day 1 – Spirometry Training Learning Outcomes:
- Identify the clinical indications where spirometry is recommended
- Demonstrate how to correctly perform a spirometry test using role play and peer review
- Interpret spirometry results to differentiate between respiratory conditions, such as asthma & COPD
- Assess practice quality assurance procedures for spirometry
Spirometry Training participants may be eligible for continuing professional development (CPD) hours from the following organisations:
- Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP): Allocated 4.5 hours of Educational Activity and 1.5 hours of Reviewing Performance for the 2023-2025 triennium, Activity Number: 409754
- Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM): Accredited by ACRRM as an educational event for 6 CPD educational hours
- This activity has been endorsed by APNA according to approved quality standards criteria
Session #1 Wound Care (3-hours)
This workshop is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and assessment skills to effectively manage a range of wound types. Participants will explore the classification and assessment of wounds and corresponding management strategies while examining factors that affect wound healing. The session will include interactive activities where participants can practice product selection and decision-making to optimise wound healing outcomes.
