Our Workshops are designed to provide continuing education and professional development opportunities to individuals working in the healthcare industry. CDM Plus delivers virtual and face to face workshops for Health Professionals and Providers working in Primary Healthcare, Aged and Community and Disability.

These workshops are led by our experienced trainers and cover a wide range of topics to build improve patient outcomes.  It allows individuals to upskill and increase confidence, allowing them to stay up-to-date and network with peers.  Can’t make it to one of our Workshops?  Talk to our team about other training options for your organistion.

You may be eligible for the Health Workforce Scholarship Program

The Health Workforce Scholarship Program (HWSP) provides scholarships and bursaries to help health professionals in rural, regional, and remote Australia retain and enhance their skills, capacity and scope of practice. It is available to multiple health professionals, including nurses who provide primary health care in non-government organisations and private practice.

The HWSP is an initiative of the Australian Government Department of Health. Eligibility criteria apply and you must work in one of the following areas to be considered for any Health Workforce Scholarship or Bursery.

  • Rural, remote and very remote: As defined as MMM 3-7 (2019) via the Department of Health’s Health Workforce Locator tool
  • An Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS): MMM 1-7
  • An Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS): MMM 1-7

Our chronic disease management workshops help medical and healthcare professionals effectively assist people with or at risk of developing chronic conditions so they can better manage their disease. 

The Day 1 Workshop covers:

  • Medicare, using MBS online, keeping up to date with changes, CDM Item numbers and MBS Billing Combinations
  • Care Plans and Reviews
  • Health Assessments and Allied Health Pathways
  • Home Medicines Review (HMR)

The Day 2 Workshop covers:

  • Prevention, Detection, and Management of chronic conditions such as Asthma/COPD, Diabetes, Cancer, Osteoporosis, Cardiovascular Disease, and Chronic Kidney Disease
  • MBS Item numbers for common detection and management activities
  • Complex Care and MBS Billing Pathways
